One newer design element is sliding doors, instead of curtains, for each ER bay for more privacy and less noise. Technology and design upgrades have come a long way since then, and Weiss said NCH has incorporated them in the pediatrics emergency room at NCH North Naples Hospital and in the freestanding emergency room, NCH Northeast, near Collier Boulevard and Immokalee Road.
